New to Forte? Start Here.
You don’t need to feel ready.
There’s a quiet pressure that shows up before trying something new.
A feeling that you should:
– Be stronger
– Know more
– Feel more confident
Before you walk through the door.
And if you don’t… you wait.
At Forte, we see this all the time.
And we want to be very clear about something:
You don’t need to feel ready to begin.
You just need to be willing to show up.
What to wear (and what actually matters).
This is one of the first questions people ask—and one of the simplest to answer.
Wear something you can move comfortably in:
– Fitted activewear
– Grip socks (required for reformer classes)
That’s it.
There’s no expectation to look a certain way.
No pressure to get it right.
The goal isn’t to be seen—it’s to feel comfortable in your body.
What your first class will feel like.
This is where expectations shift.
Your first class won’t feel like rushing to keep up or trying to “get through” a workout.
It will feel:
– Slower
– More guided
– More intentional
You’ll be introduced to:
– The reformer
– The pace of the class
– How movement should feel in your body
You may notice:
– Muscles shaking
– Slower transitions
– A different kind of focus
And often, a moment where you realize:
I’ve never moved like this before.
You won’t be the only one figuring it out.
This is one of the biggest fears—and one of the first things that disappears.
At Forte:
– Not everyone is advanced
– Not everyone moves the same way
– Not everyone is at the same place in their journey
And that’s the point.
The space is designed for:
– Different bodies
– Different experiences
– Different starting points
There’s no standard you need to meet.
How you’ll be supported.
You won’t be left alone to figure things out.
Throughout your class, you’ll receive:
– Clear instruction
– Gentle corrections
– Guidance that helps you understand your body
Not in a way that feels overwhelming—but in a way that helps you feel more confident as you go.
What matters most in your first class.
Not performance.
Not perfection.
Not how you look.
What matters is:
– That you showed up
– That you stayed present
– That you allowed yourself to try something new
That’s where everything begins.
Start where you are.
You don’t need to prepare for this.
You don’t need to wait until you feel more confident.
You don’t need to be “better” before you begin.
You can start exactly as you are.
And when you do—you’ll realize:
That was enough all along.
